ABOUT ME
Hello! I’m Héctor Gómez, a passionate 3D artist from Mexico. My journey in the video game industry began in 2011 when I joined a 3D outsourcing studio here in Mexico. This is where I built the foundation of my craft, learned the importance of collaboration, and had the chance to contribute to several AAA titles such as Star Wars: The Old Republic, Dead Rising, FIFA, NBA, and Agents of Mayhem.
In 2017, I took the leap into freelancing, a decision that presented its own set of challenges, such as mastering time and resource management.
However, it was during this period that I truly honed my skill set, especially in the area of Environment Art, which had always been an area of interest for me. Freelancing allowed me to work with various studios and projects, each one offering new lessons and experiences.
In 2021, I joined Digimancy Entertainment as a 3D artist for a sci-fi space project. Although the project was ultimately canceled, it paved the way for future opportunities at Digimancy.
In 2022, I had the privilege of working as an Environment Artist on Avowed, a co-development project with Obsidian Entertainment. This experience was exceptional and reaffirmed my passion for Environment Art, which is the area I’d love to continue exploring.
I’m proficient in:
3ds Max, Blender, Photoshop, ZBrush, Unreal Engine, Unity, and Substance Painter.
I’m a strong team player, always striving to support my peers and contribute to the success of the project. My years of experience allow me to quickly adapt to new environments and production pipelines.
